From 2021-2022, Julie contracted with the NJDEP to coordinate the development of the Natural & Working Lands Strategy (NWLS), a plan which will help the state of NJ to better manage its natural and working lands for carbon sequestration/storage. In Summer 2022, she started a permanent job with The Wetlands Institute, where she is working to improve tidal marsh management and increase resilience by investigating the ecological, geological, and chemical factors related to coastal/marsh change.
